Toni Rowland has been commissioned by the Pink Drive Cancer awareness programme to write their theme song. Toni herself  is a recovering breast cancer survivor and understands the battles that fellow cancer patient have to endure.  “I am tremendously honoured and equally humbled to get involved with PinkDrive” say Toni “As a breast cancer survivor myself, I know of the mental and physical strain that one goes through to beat this thing”.

Toni will be performing the new song live at a the M-Net Cares Breast Cancer Lunches on 6th October – Cape Town Convention Centre, 13th October – Sandton Convention Centre and 27th October – Durban ICC,  to promote the PinkDrive campaign, which hopes to raise funds to be support the mobile breast check unit and education unit, in their proactive and tangible campaign to diagnose breast cancer and also to educate the public on how to self-diagnose.

“The PinkDrive mammography unit visits areas of South Africa that normally would not have easy accessibility to screening and education. The work is often challenging and the team is kept motivated and inspired to be at the forefront of making health care available to women in South Africa by the support of the public and their loyal sponsors. The commitment of individuals, like Toni, gives us the ability to shine our light brighter. Early detection saves lives, Breast Cancer CAN be beaten. The winning positive example and spirit of Toni and her song, will entrench the PinkDrive message into the hearts of many. Thank you to Toni and her team for making this possible”  Michelle Korevaar, PinkDrive PRO
